Recipe for Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

The recipe calls for the following ingredients: flour, sugar, and butter.

Chicken broth - 2 quarts

Half a pound of freshly chopped mushrooms.

One cup of thinly chopped celery.

One cup of shredded carrots.

1/2 cup of thinly chopped onion

One teaspoon of chicken bouillon granules.

One teaspoon of dried parsley flakes.

Add 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder.

One-quarter teaspoon of dried thyme.

Choose either margarine or butter, with a quantity of 1/4 cup.

1/4 cup of all-purpose flour

One (10.75 ounce) can of undiluted condensed cream of mushroom soup.

1/2 cup of either additional chicken broth or dry white wine

Three cups of cooked wild rice.

2 cups of cooked and cubed chicken.


Let it simmer for a while. Lower the heat, cover the pot, and let it simmer for approximately 30 minutes.

Incorporate flour into the mixture until it becomes smooth. Mix the broth slowly as you whip it. After bringing the mixture to a boil, cook it and stir for approximately 2 minutes until the mixture has thickened. Add wine and either soup or broth to the mixture. Heat the mixture of chicken and rice thoroughly, adding in more as necessary.

To make it a hearty and flavorful soup, you can add many other vegetables of your choice.
